Tirlán is delighted to offer a great on site gym to employees.
Managed by our vendor partners Fit For Life* we have an on-site Fitness and Wellbeing Coach who will be in the gym for 12 hours per week to help you with anything to do with fitness and health related issues.

OPENING TIMES
The gym is open 24 hours, 7 days per week. . It is also available for use on the weekends. The only time access is limited is when classes are being run. You may still use the gym when personal training sessions are taking place.
In order to join the gym, you must attend for a 30 minute induction course. Once you have attended an Induction your Access Card will be activated for access to the gym. To get started all you have to do is set up an account on the online system. Please follow these simple steps:

The gym is supervised by a Fitness and Wellbeing Coach on the following days:
Monday: 11:00 - 14:30
Wednesday: 16:00-19:00
Thursday: 07:30-09:30
Friday: 10:30-14:00
TAILORED FITNESS PROGAMMES
ONCE OFF PERSONAL TRAINING SESSION
Get the most of your time in the gym! Following the initial induction, our expericenced coaches will customize an exercise programme that fits in with your particular requirements, desires and goals.
We will demonstrate each exercise and have you perform it yourself so we can make sure you are completing each exercise with the correct technique and weight load.
(Home programmes are also available)
We recommend you refresh your programme every 4 to 5 weeks with us to ensure you are always progressing.

4 WEEK KICK START PROGRAM
This takes the once off session to the next level. We will start by helping you to set personal goals and targets.
Your Fitness and Wellbeing coach will work with you through the 30 minute exercise programme once a week for 4 weeks to keep your motivation and skills at the right level. We will also advise you and help you with a healthy eating plan if you require this.
Finally, you'll be sent weekly emails to keep you motivated with easy to follow tasks/habits to do each week.
After the 4 weeks are over, you get a plan to complete on your own with a monthly check to update your plan and measure your progress.
PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to avail of the kickstart programme you will need to book 4 seperate sessions over 4 weeks. Please select the same time and day each week that suits you.

GYM CLASS TIMETABLE
Please note: The classes are held in the gym and the gym equipment will be limited for use during the times of the classes. Please try to schedule your workouts outside the times of the class if you do not wish to take part.

Monday - 13.00-13.30 - MetCon
A "Met Con" Provides a high intensity workout using a combination of strength/resistance training methods with anaerobic conditioning exercises.
Post session the metabolism can remain in an elevated state for up to 48 hours, this means your body continuously burns fat throughout the day even after you stop exercising.
Metabolic Conditioning Classes are perfect for burning fat and getting you into Peak Condition!
All classes are mixed level.
Wednesday - 17.30 – 18.30 - SUPERCIRCUITS / STRENGTH & CONDITIONIONG
The ultimate total health and fitness body conditioning class! Combining body weight exercises and resistance training set up in stations.
Circuits will help you lose weight, tone up and completely transform your body. We vary the weight loads, rep ranges and tempos to produce a prized lean body and great muscle conditioning.
Blast away boredom with this high-energy workout that builds & sculpts muscle as well as improves strength & endurance.
Thursday- 07:45 - 08:30 - ROTATING FORMAT
These classes will change format every week to target specific areas of general fitness.
Each class will cover general aerobic work to keep the heart & body healthy with an additional focus on a specific area to include:
A focus on the core muscles of the body, leading to better posture & shape to reduced risk of back pain
A focus on a proper weight training routine designed to shape & sculpt the body
A focus on HIIT / interval training
A focus on mobility and body weight movements
HEALTH, WELL-BEING & AVOIDING INJURY
Tirlán or Fit For Life shall not be liable to any person for any damage or injury however caused arising from the presence in or use of the gymnasium.
If you are unsure of your medical wellbeing, or if you have a recent injury, please consult your Doctor before using this facility.
If you feel breathless or dizzy, stop using the equipment immediately.
In the case of an accident or problem with the machinery, please contact the Tirlán facilities department.
Medical questions should be directed to any first aider listed by the telephone. In the event of an accident you must complete an ACCIDENT REPORT FORM and submit this to Facilities.
CHANGING ROOMS
IThe Ladies and Gents changing rooms are equipped with showers and a hairdryer. When you are using these facilities please bear in mind that there are a lot of people using them on a daily basis, so please remove all of your belongings after you have finished. Please do not leave wet towels there to dry, pack them into your bags as you are leaving and leave the space clean for others to use after you.
HEALTH, WELL-BEING & AVOIDING INJURY
There will be paper towels and water containers provided for you to wipe down the equipment after you have used it.
Please carry a towel at all times.
When using the mats or free weights, put them back after use.
No food should be brought into the gym at any time.
Use the correct footwear at all times, do not work out in the gym in bare feet.
It is mandatory to wear flip flops in the shower for hygiene/safety purposes.
Please keep the gym and changing rooms tidy at all times.
